Joan Blondell
Shirley Maclaine.
Eartha Kitt
Ann Sheridan
Ava Gardner. You have to be tough when you're married to Sinatra.
Carole Lombard
Lauren Bacall
Miriam Hopkins
Kay Francis
Tallulah Bankhead. Slightly off her rocker but very tough.
Rosalind Russell
Mae Clarke
Jean Harlow
Katherine Hepburn
Barbara Stanwyck. Just watch Babyface(1933) or Night Nurse(1931). Watch any of her films and you'll know why she's here.
Ruth Chatterton
Greta Garbo
Marlene Dietrich
Joan Crawford
Bette Davis.
Mae West, the toughest broad of them all. She could take on all these ladies at once. Bette Davis and Joan Crawford combined would have nothing on her.
Excellent choices. I really love Barbara Stanwyck in DOUBLE INDEMNITY. Bette Davis was great in ALL ABOUT EVE and WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE?. Don't forget Ann Savage in DETOUR. She spit venom the entire time she was on the screen! Jean Harlow was really good in DINNER AT EIGHT and LIBELED LADY. Katharine Hepburn was a tough old broad in THE AFRICAN QUEEN.
